The Healthworks Community Fitness recently held a 5K Run/Walk in the Boston area. Many experienced runners participated in this event, but there were also a few newcomers as well. One woman, Lorraine, accomplished her goal of running her first 5K.
Healthworks Community Fitness and Hyland’s
Lauren Broadhurst, the executive director of Healthworks, expressed how excited she was that they have partnered with Hyland’s. “We are so thrilled to be working with Hyland’s and to garner support for our mission, which is all about providing health and wellness to low income neighborhoods and people who really need it.”
Run and Weight Loss
Upon finishing her first 5K, Lorraine explained, “It was painful while I was doing it. I was out of breath, my muscles were hurting…but it was fun!” And worth it nonetheless!
Not only did she finish her first 5K, but Lorraine also lost 85 pounds over this past year. Congrats Lorraine! Get off that couch and be there, and do that like Lorraine did. You will never know what you can accomplish until you try.
