But there’s always a solution to that. Michelle Jezycki began training a woman named Bonnie who was trying to lose weight. Although, Bonnie had reached that plateau. Michelle encouraged her to try running, but Bonnie said there was no way she could do that.
Start By Walking!
It was as simple as that. Michelle told Bonnie to “start by walking” as a way to get past that plateau and get closer to making a positive life-transformation.
Bonnie had already been working out for about two years and had lost 50 pounds. After two years though, she had reached that plateau of not being able to lose more weight. Michelle asked her she’d thought about running, and Bonnie just laughed. “I can’t run.”
Like we’ve all been told, never say you “can’t.”
Michelle helped Bonnie train by giving her tips and routines that would help her. Bonnie would walk 2 minutes and run 1 minute.
“You don’t need to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.” –Michelle.
Bonnie took that first step, and proceeded to take more steps. Results soon followed. Bonnie completed her first 5K, and she couldn’t believe she crossed her first finish line.
You Can Do It Too!
Bonnie said, “It changed how I thought about myself.” It’s about making that change internally and knowing that you can do anything you set your mind to. Only then will you start to see results externally.
